Second Redwood Mountain Castle/Lake Hike

Ok all you BackroadsAdventurers. If you missed this hike the first time this is a second chance. No excuses. The weather should still be good. Last week at Alemere falls was fantastic. This one is only 6-7 miles with an altitude climb from 1400 to 2000 ft. (Gradual) This is a moderate hike. The forest is beautiful. Look at the posted pictures from Oct. 11th. Creek & bridge crossings; Fallen tree crossings; A picnic by a private lake; and a ramble through an authentiic Tuscan castle that is a must to see. We will have our own private wine tasting room. if you don't care for wine explore the the castle grounds anyway. We should be finished with the hike & lunch by 2:30 pm. The castle ramble & wine tasting follow. Please plan for the whole day. Some carpooling is available. For East Bay people use the Martinez Hwy 4 location. We do pick up people along the way.
