A four day event with three days of music and more than 100 acts playing indie, psychedelia, americana and folk across 5 stages, while DJs playing everything from psychedlia, dub-reggae, modern electro and stoner rock right through the night.

around the festival site (1) This folk-tinged event, in its eighth year, takes place at Glanusk Park, Usk Valley, Powys, Wales. The dates for The Green Man Festival 2010 are confirmed as Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd August. The festival is organised by folk duo It's Jo and Danny, there's live music with lots of folk and folktronica bands, plus film, literature, workshop and children's areas, and DJs.

Line-up The line-up for 2010 has not yet been announced.

Tickets Early Bird tickets are priced at £100 for adults, £99 for students, £50 for teenagers, £45 for live-in vehicles, £30 for holiday tickets and £5 for car parking.

About As well as the music there will be art installations, literature and film tents, Welsh poetry, art and music, ceilidhs, poetry, theatre, science, comedy, Nature and Nurture massage area, a daily dusk till dawn bonfire, impromptu jamming sessions, and food stalls offering a wide range of cuisine most of which is locally sourced and organic. The festival also has an array of quirky bars dotted around the site with the a 24 hour drinks licence, serving everything from real ale and cider, wine, to hot toddies, and cocktails.

Kids area This year the kids' area is expected to return in the same place, just a two-minute toddle from Family Camping (Opening times: 10am to 6pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday). A full weekend of activities includes story-telling, arts and crafts, face painting, music workshops, puppet making, puppet shows, mask making, comedy and clowning, an opportunity of taking part in the green man children's parade on Sunday, film making workshops and a chance to have your own animation shown in the film tent.

Green issues The festival is keen to support the environment so they are introducing a greener way for everyone to travel to and from the festival. The 'Green Bus' will travel right into the festival site from most City destinations. Plus there is a free shuttle bus service from Abergevanny Train Station to and from the festival site for all festival goers coming by train.
