Big Chill Festival @ Eastnor Castle '10

Set in a picturesque location and offering both families and ravers a diverse range of alternative, dance, electronica, and chilled beats from live bands and DJs. The music programme is a mix of everything from legends to new talent, plus a whole range of musical styles from rock, folk, jazz, African, dub, and unique collaborations. Aside from music the festival also has art, films, poetry, cabaret, visuals, and gourmet food.

The dates for 2010 are confirmed as Thursday 5th until Sunday 8th August at the site which has four lakes, thick woods and an arboretum at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire.

Line-up There are no acts confirmed yet for 2010.

Tickets Early bird adults are priced at £145, a student ticket is priced at £110 (For full-time students only. Valid NUS or ISIC ID required at the wristband exchange - no other student ID accepted.) A teen ticket (13 to 17 years old) is priced at £60, and a kid's ticket (12 and under - this includes babies and toddlers)is priced at £4. Please note that all under 18 year olds must be accompanied to the festival by an adult. An adult cannot be responsible for more than 4 under 18 year olds each. Sunday only tickets are priced at £70. Car Park/Live-in Vehicle tickets will be available in the New Year.

Deposit Scheme/Payment Plan The Deposit Scheme involves paying an initial deposit of £50 for a ticket and paying the balance by Monday 31st May 2010. This offer is only available for Adult and Student tickets only, until Thursday 31st December 2009. The Payment Plan offers ticket buyers the chance to buy tickets across four monthly payments. Make an initial payment of 25% of the face value of tickets, and then pay the outstanding balance over the consecutive three months. This offer is available for all ticket kinds, until Thursday 31st December 2009.

The Big Chill offers a highly evolved, all-round experience for 30,000 people including a wide variety of music and performance, art, spaces for kids, comedy, dance and film; technology and its relationship with nature; identifying artists and nurturing their creativity.

Workshops There will be a full programme of workshops, performances and creative activity.

On-site facilities On-site facilities include a shop selling groceries & newspapers, bars, food stalls, merchandise stalls, cash point machine and a 24 hour cafe amongst other things. Alcohol cannot be brought into the main arena but is permitted in the camping areas (but NO GLASS!).

Disabed Facilities The venue is a general campsite that has disabled toilets & showers, please contact Big Chill HQ before the event for more information.

Restrictions No fires or foil BBQs are permitted on site, although BBQs on legs are allowed. No pets allowed. No video cameras allowed. No amped music or sound systems allowed.
