Boston natives, Dropkick Murphy's, return to Orange County for a show at the Grove of Anaheim on November 4.
Dropkick Murphy's formed in 1996 and was originally just a group of friends looking to play music for fun. With music that's a blend of rock, Irish folk, rock and hardcore combined into one loud, raucous, chaotic mix they call their own, the band has gone on to release four full length albums, over ten singles and two EPs. Dropkick Murphy's firmly believe in working class solidarity, friendship, loyalty and self- improvement as a means to improving society and is evident in their music's subject matter.
When they performed in Anaheim last year, the Orange County Register said, "Through it all, no matter how aggressive the music gets or how vociferously frontman Al Barr growls, the Murphy's maintain a thick-skinned optimism: "Take another ride on the sunshine highway," they sing, "take another ride, try to turn it around."
